An agreement has been announced between The Coca-Cola Company and Bacardi Limited to introduce BACARDÍ rum and Coca-Cola as a ready-to-drink (RTD) pre-mixed cocktail. BACARDÍ Mixed with Coca-Cola RTD will be initially launched in select European markets and Mexico in 2025.

“We are expanding our portfolio as a total beverage company, including in the growing alcohol ready-to-drink market. This new partnership with Bacardi Limited supports our strategic growth, and we are excited for the launch of BACARDÍ Mixed with Coca-Cola next year.”
— James Quincey, chairman and CEO, The Coca-Cola Company

The packaging for BACARDÍ Mixed with Coca-Cola RTD will showcase two globally recognized trademarks. Bacardi, a family-owned company, was founded in 1862 in Cuba and later moved to Bermuda, while Coca-Cola was introduced in 1886 in Atlanta.

This collaboration is not the first time the two brands have worked together. In 1900, the Cuba Libre cocktail was created using BACARDÍ rum, Coca-Cola, and lime at the American Bar in Havana. This classic combination continues to be a popular choice in bars worldwide.

“We are thrilled to unite two iconic brands so that consumers can enjoy one of the world’s favorite cocktails – originally made with BACARDÍ rum and Coca-Cola – in a convenient and high-quality format. Through this partnership, we aim to reach more legal drinking age consumers who can appreciate this timeless BACARDÍ rum and Coca-Cola cocktail.”
— Mahesh Madhavan, CEO, Bacardi Limited

The cans will include clear labeling indicating that the drink is intended for legal drinking age consumers only. Both The Coca-Cola Company and Bacardi Limited will follow responsible marketing practices with the BACARDÍ Mixed with Coca-Cola RTD.

The alcohol beverage volume (ABV) globally is typically 5%, but this may vary depending on the product.
