Weekly Sip: Tropicana introduces new refreshers as Jose Cuervo brings the heat

Tropicana has launched a new line of juice drinks called Tropicana Refreshers, made with real fruit juice and no artificial sweeteners. The flavors include Fruit Punch and Pineapple Mango, and they are available at retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, and Target. The company is also collaborating with reality TV star Ciara Miller to promote the new product with cocktail and mocktail recipes. Tropicana was recently sold to private equity firm PAI Partners for $3.3 billion, and since becoming a standalone company, Tropicana Brands Group has focused on expanding its product portfolio with innovations like a low-sugar offering for Naked and a sparkling drink and lemonade platform.

In other beverage news, Jose Cuervo has launched Devil’s Reserve, a “sweet heat” flavored tequila designed for shots, margaritas, and Devil’s Soda. The packaging features vibrant Mexican folk art, and the brand is targeting younger consumers who are embracing tequila, especially flavored varieties. Similarly, Game On Spirits has introduced alcoholic shots in flavors inspired by classic stadium foods like Buttered Popcorn, Caramel Corn, Cotton Candy, and Game Day Dog. The shots can be purchased on the company’s website and at select bars, restaurants, and liquor stores. With the NFL seeing record high viewership, fans are enjoying more alcoholic beverages during tailgates and games.
