Treehouse Foods has expanded its recall to include all waffle and pancake products manufactured at its Ontario, Canada, facility due to potential listeria contamination. The recall now includes frozen toaster waffles and Belgian waffles. This decision was made after additional testing at the manufacturing facility. TreeHouse has stated that there have been no confirmed reports of illness related to the recalled products.
This is the second significant recall for TreeHouse Foods in the past two years. In September 2023, the company initiated a broth recall that has had ongoing effects on the company. Analysts have expressed concerns about the company’s manufacturing assets and their inconsistent performance.
In a separate incident, BrucePac recently recalled nearly 12 million pounds of meat and poultry due to possible listeria contamination, with some products distributed to schools.
