Meatable, a Dutch cultivated meat company, is set to host an exclusive Series C fundraising event in early 2025, inviting global leaders from various sectors including meat industry representatives, scientists, investors, and policymakers. The company plans to use the funds to further scale and commercialize its technology, with the ultimate goal of licensing its manufacturing capabilities to meat companies.

The announcement comes following the appointment of Dr. Aris de Rijke as the new chief technology officer, who will focus on scaling the technology cost-effectively during the company’s next phase of growth. Meatable, known for cutting its production time in half and working collaboratively with the meat industry, aims to address challenges in cultivated meat acceptance and legislative hurdles.

With a focus on collaborating directly with meat industry leaders, Meatable envisions a future where its manufacturing technology is used to enhance existing products, providing consumers with premium options and supporting industry sustainability goals. The upcoming fundraising round is expected to drive technological advancements and demonstrate commercial viability to potential meat company partners.

Co-founder Daan Luining will transition to the role of chief innovation officer, while Tripician, who assumed the CEO position recently, is hopeful that cultivated meat will be recognized as a solution to global challenges at the upcoming event. The strategic leadership of Dr. Rijke in technology development is seen as crucial to Meatable’s future success and expansion into new partnerships and innovation initiatives.
