Kraft Heinz has successfully implemented the Rise Together Procurement Program to address logistical challenges in delivering food to nonprofit Rise Against Hunger. The program, launched in 2022, brought together a diverse team of experts to collaborate with the nonprofit and develop solutions for seamless food delivery. This initiative has already resulted in a $15 million commitment to Rise Against Hunger and an extended partnership for the next three years.
Through strategic partnerships with global suppliers and logistics companies, Kraft Heinz aims to double the impact of Rise Against Hunger’s meal donation program by 2027. Recent efforts from the program have led to the delivery of over 20 truckloads of food, valued at approximately $500,000, to regions facing food insecurity such as Ukraine, Turkiye, and Syria. In addition, the company is actively working with logistics suppliers like Maersk to facilitate the movement of donations across the U.K. and Europe, providing crucial customs clearance as needed.
The collaboration between Kraft Heinz and Rise Against Hunger not only brings nutritional products to communities in need but also demonstrates a commitment to addressing global challenges through innovative solutions in procurement and supply chain management.
