With his industry experience, Dr. Farhat will develop a product portfolio based on the principles of a circular economy, using residuals from Fresh Del Monte’s operations to minimize waste and maximize natural resources. His goal is to meet the growing consumer demand for wholesome, nature-based products that align with health-conscious choices.
Prior to joining Fresh Del Monte, Dr. Farhat spent nearly two decades at dsm-firmenich, where he held key roles in taste innovation. He also served as an associate professor at the University of Nottingham in the UK, with extensive experience in food physical chemistry and a strong patent portfolio in food science.
