David Goubert, President and CEO of AYR Wellness, Resigns from Position
David Goubert, President and CEO of AYR Wellness Inc., has resigned from his position, effective Sept. 18.
Goubert has been in the role of president since Oct. 12, 2022, and as CEO since Feb. 13, 2023. The Board of Directors at AYR expressed their gratitude for Goubert’s commitment and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The board has appointed Steven M. Cohen as the interim CEO with immediate effect. Cohen was previously serving as an external legal advisor to the company.
The board will soon begin the process of searching for a permanent CEO to lead the company.
Emil Kovács graduated from the Journalism program at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary. During his journalism studies, he focused on data journalism, investigative reporting, and multimedia storytelling. He gained experience by writing for the university’s student newspaper, where he gained attention for his articles on social issues. After graduation, Emil began working as a reporter at a European news agency, where he conducts in-depth analyses of international news and current events.
