Tamalitoz has introduced its newest product to its lineup: Churro Chocolate Caliente Palomitaz. Derived from the Spanish word “palomitas,” which means popcorn, Palomitaz is the latest snack from this Mexican candy company that can now be found in major American retailers.

Jack Bessudo, co-founder of Sugarox Candy Studio, described the inspiration behind the new Palomitaz flavor: “While thinking about our new Palomitaz flavors, I wanted to capture a uniquely Mexican joy. This led me to memories of enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and churros at the markets of Coyoacan or strolling through the streets of Polanco, Mexico. It represents the epitome of happiness food.”

The Churro Chocolate Caliente Palomitaz Popcorn combines the flavors of Mexican hot chocolate and churros in one delicious recipe. Mexican hot chocolate is known for its rich layers of spice and chili heat. After numerous taste tests at Sugarox Candy Studio, Bessudo and his team decided to use cocoa powder instead of coating the popcorn in melted chocolate. The popcorn is also seasoned with cinnamon sugar, a hint of Guajillo Chili Powder, and a touch of sea salt.
