Chomps is set to open a new snack facility in Missouri

Meat snack maker Chomps is set to open a new manufacturing facility in Mexico, Missouri in 2025, as announced in a press release on September 5. The company’s partnership with meat snack contract manufacturer Western Smokehouse Partners will be further strengthened by this 300,000-square-foot facility, which is expected to create around 250 jobs initially.

This expansion comes in response to Chomps’ rapid growth and increasing consumer demand for meat snacks. The meat snacks market is projected to grow significantly, with Chomps aiming to capitalize on this trend by generating close to $500 million in sales over the next year.

To support this growth, Chomps has appointed Jason Dols as Senior Vice President of Operations to oversee long-term strategies for operations and supply chain management. This new facility in Mexico will be the third location where WSP manufactures Chomps’ products, dedicated exclusively to the brand.

In addition to the Greentop facility, WSP has four other manufacturing facilities in Iowa, Illinois, and Idaho. Other major meat snack makers, such as Jack Links, are also expanding their production capabilities to meet the growing demand in the market.
