Vital Farms has appointed Joe Holland as its chief supply chain officer, a newly established position within the company, starting on Sept. 1. According to an Aug. 20 press release, Holland will oversee Vital Farms’ diverse supply chain team, which includes managing the egg washing and packing facility in Springfield, Missouri, known as Egg Central Station, as well as the company’s upcoming facility in Seymour, Indiana, and dairy operations for its butter business. Former Chief Operating Officer Jason Dale will transition to an advisory role until the end of 2024.

Prior to joining Vital Farms, Holland served as EVP of operations and supply chain at Curaleaf Holdings, a provider of consumer cannabis products. With over 25 years of experience in operations, Holland has held various supply chain and distribution roles at companies such as Dean Foods, Cadbury Schweppes, and Ventura Foods.

Russell Diez-Canseco, CEO and President of Vital Farms, expressed confidence in Holland’s abilities, stating, “Joe’s dedication to service, quality, and cost principles will drive innovation and resilience within our supply chain. I look forward to seeing the impact of Joe’s leadership as we continue to uphold our commitment to ethical food practices and work towards achieving $1 billion in net revenue by 2027.”
