Verano Holdings Corp. has announced the launch of the “Save the Bits” fundraising campaign. This initiative will donate a portion of the sales proceeds from Verano’s BITS edibles to the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign will take place in hundreds of cannabis dispensaries across eight states.

From October 1st onwards, a portion of the sales from specially marked packages of BITS edibles sold in dispensaries in eight states will be contributed to the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation. Each package will feature a “Save the Bits” sticker to show support for the cause. Additionally, there will be a QR code on the packaging that leads to more information and education about the campaign’s mission.

In addition to 134 Verano-owned dispensaries, nearly 40 third-party cannabis companies in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania will participate in the “Save the Bits” campaign through both in-store and digital activations.

Laura Sage, the executive director of the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation, expressed gratitude for the partnership with BITS. She highlighted the foundation’s commitment to funding innovative breast cancer trials accessible to a diverse group of patients.

BITS, Verano’s low-dose, high-function edibles brand, offers five different flavors with a combination of 5 mg THC, tailored cannabinoid ratios, and adaptogens.

George Archos, Verano’s founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the Save the Bits campaign’s launch. He emphasized the cannabis industry’s ability to make a positive impact on communities and important causes like the fight against Breast Cancer. The campaign aims to support the cause throughout the month of October.
