Jones Soda introduces Mary Jane Colas featuring hemp THC

Jones Soda Co. has introduced Cola and Zero Cola flavors to its lineup of Mary Jones hemp-derived delta-9-THC (HD9) beverages and edibles.

These products are among the first colas in the HD9 category, including the first HD9 zero-calorie cola, offering consumers a THC-based alcohol alternative in a soft drink flavor.

Both colas have been crafted with new formulas that draw on Jones’ expertise in flavors to provide a crisp, refreshing taste without a weedy aftertaste, thanks to stringent THC distillate sourcing standards. They are available in 12-oz. cans with either 5 mg THC or 10 mg THC.

Just like all the mainline Jones craft sodas, Mary Jones HD9 Cola is sweetened with natural cane sugar, while Mary Jones HD9 Zero Cola is sweetened with sucralose.

These new cola options join the HD9 Berry Lemonade, Green Apple, MF Grape, and Orange & Cream soda flavors that were introduced in January as part of Mary Jones’ hemp-infused line. The product range now also includes gummies and 2-oz. shooters.

Customers can have these products shipped directly to them in most states. The product line can also be found in liquor stores and other retail locations in many states.

“Cola is a significant portion of the global carbonated soft drinks market, so we challenged our flavor scientists to create a new formula that would surpass the competition in taste,” said David Knight, CEO of Jones Soda. “Now we have colas in both our HD9 and mainline craft soda collections, and we have more major product launches coming this quarter to continue our strong growth.”

Jones Soda was the first nationally distributed CPG soda company to venture into the cannabis industry with the launch of the Mary Jones brand in California in 2022. It was also the first to enter the emerging HD9 market. Mary Jones cannabis products can now be found in dispensaries in California, Michigan, Washington, and Canada, with plans for further expansion into other cannabis-legal markets.
